What is Fat Freedom Photoshoots?

Fat Freedom Photoshoots is a global campaign dedicated to creating representation for fat people through empowering photography. This initiative celebrates bodies of all sizes, particularly those that don’t fit societal norms, by creating safe, welcoming spaces where everyone feels valued and beautiful.

Fat Freedom Photoshoots: Fat Con 2025 Edition

The Fat Freedom Photoshoots - Seattle, WA - Fat Con 2025 Edition marked the launch of the Fat Freedom Photoshoots project, an exciting moment for the fat community to come together and create lasting memories. This special event was led by Jaelynn “Jae Bae” Chaney, a passionate advocate for fat liberation, and made possible with the collaboration of the incredible Beth Olson of Beth Olson Creative, and the Fat Con team. Beth graciously joined forces with Jae to bring this vision to life, making it the perfect opportunity to launch this powerful project.

What made this event even more special was that it was designed to honor Fat Con 2025, a pivotal moment for the body-positive and fat liberation movements. This photoshoot aimed to celebrate fat freedom, to capture the beauty, strength, and worth of fat bodies, and to create a lasting reminder of this powerful movement that we can all carry with us forever.
